A Note from Pastor on DEI

Greetings, Elyton Family!

On January 20, 2025, which was Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Donald J. Trump signed an executive order terminating federal government DEI programs. Many companies have retracted or discontinued their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and policies since the executive order was issued, devaluing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

However, according to Psalm 99:4, God loves justice and values equity. Our God is the God of diversity, equity, and inclusion! Therefore, I am asking Elyton members to participate in a forty-day spiritual resistance Lenten abstinence from purchasing from companies that have retracted or discontinued their DEI efforts and practices starting on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
